Fall Travels: Exhibitions, The Transylvania Tour, Old Friends

A busy fall rounded out a wonderful year with four successful tours, two in Transylvania and two in Portugal. In October, I went back to Vienna for the second time this year to see the exhibition of Dadaist, collage artist, Hannah Höch at the Belvedere and visit my best friend’s brother and his family now living in the Austrian capital for the next few years.

I, then, went to Budapest for the opening of a small group show of textile art that included my work. It was great to have several embroidered fabric pieces with a lovely curation by two American artists. My friend and Budapest walking tour guide, Zsofi, met me at the opening.

A day later, the Transylvania tour began with a wonderful group of textile lovers, makers, and culture seekers.

After another rich and full experience in Romania, the group and I parted ways in Budapest. The next day, I traveled to Bratislava to see the ULUV studios and gallery and visit the museum depot outside of the city.

Thanks for reading! Interested in the Transylvania tour or traveling to Vienna with me in 2026? Transylvania is open for registration. Email me if you’re interested in Vienna.
