ThreadWritten Credo- Part 2
Step away from the computer and set your phone aside, once you're done reading this post!
Make something with your hands, whether picking up that old knitting project, cooking soup, or learning to sew. Take a workshop with a friend or ask your aunt to teach you how to crochet.
I use time mending a shirt, making sculpture, or planning a new workshop project as a meditation. I often listen to classical music, forgetting about politics or my current to-do list. I focus on the satisfaction of creating beauty, extending the life of something useful, or enjoying the process of moving from an idea through a detour (or several) to a new discovery. Time for creativity, with or without a point, makes pathways for new ideas and ways of doing things that flow into the rest of life.
Ok now, go!
