Stitch this pattern inspired by Hungarian written embroidery (írásos) from Transylvania, Romania. Pattern size: 7.06 x 7.3 inches (16.8 x 18.1 cm). 4 page pdf includes pattern, pattern transfer information, materials needed, stitch diagrams for 3 line stitches (for this smaller scale modern version, not the írásos stitch). The pattern is the perfect size for a small, drawstring “project bag,” a patch for the back of a jacket, or a large quilt square. Follow the traditional model, stitching in one color, or experiment with different colors and stitches and make it your own.
