Meet Up: Embroidery, Art, and Culture in Amsterdam, NL. Intro lesson for beginners and sewing circle for experienced stitchers.
Start with a few basic embroidery stitches or work on your own project in progress through the lens of traditional clothing, heritage, and cultures from around the world. We'll meet and stitch together once a month in an informal sewing circle. Learn a new stitch, get inspired by the colors and patterns of embroidery from different countries, work on your own project in progress and/or talk about textiles and travel. All levels welcome from "never threaded a needle" to years of experience. Embroidery is a great way to relax, create something beautiful, and connect with your lineage (or adopted lineage!).
