Complementing my work in textiles, education, and art, I offer therapeutic massage for wellness, health maintenance, and injury rehabilitation.
Massage for Makers
My practice combines bodywork using gentle to firm Swedish, deep tissue, Neuro-Muscular Therapy, elements of Shiatsu, and Reiki level 11 with stretching and mindfulness techniques to educate each person on the best practices for her or his individual needs. Drawing upon my experience working with artists, crafters, coders, and as an artist myself, I understand the importance of self-care. I help ensure clients are able to make their handcraft, return to a beloved hobby, or continue their livelihood in creative, hands-on professions with more comfort and ease. Serving a variety of clients since 2005, from athletes to mothers-to-be to elders, I enjoy helping people develop greater self-awareness and tools for wellness. Licensed in California since 2007, I received my training at the Finger Lakes School of Massage, Ithaca, NY (1,000 hours).

Sarah Pedlow has been practicing bodywork since completing her 1,000 hour certification at the Finger Lakes School of Massage, Ithaca, NY, in 2005. An interest in alternative health and thinking about bodywork as a meditation led her to follow a path in the healing arts. Her work combines Swedish, Connective Tissue, elements of Shiatsu, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Reiki level II to assist the body’s natural healing process and return a sense of wholeness. She enjoys employing gentle to firm techniques to address injuries and patterns of holding. Clients have commented on her intuitive, deeply listening presence and healing hands. Sarah views massage as an extension of her creative practice. She holds an MFA in Visual Arts from Rutgers University and a BA in Studio Art and French Studies from Scripps College, Claremont, Ca. CA Massage Permit #37004
Sarah has provided massage at International Orange spa in San Francisco, AirBnb headquarters, Oakland Hills Tennis Club, Osmosis Day Spa Sanctuary in West Sonoma County, and Calistoga Ranch.
